Conditions of Service

Upon receipt of an editing request, Bioedit will send a provide a quote based on the word count of editable text in the documents, plus any add-on services requested. The client is able to obtain an 'Estimated Quote' prior to submitting their work request, but the final quote is provided by Bioedit at its discretion.

The client must accept the quote before work can begin. Unless agreed upon otherwise, payment must by credit card before the work begins, or made within 30 days after downloading the edited manuscript in the case of bank transfers. Late Payments are subject to a late fee of 10%.

All discounts are provided at Bioedit's discretion, and must be agreed prior to the work commencing.

Delays & Cancellation

Work ordered though Regular, Express and Super Express speed services will be returned to the client’s website account within no later than 7, 4, and 2 days, respectively, of start of the editing. Work is not returned on Sundays, so an additional day applies to deadlines that would otherwise fall on this day.

The date of inception will be considered to be the date that the client pays for the work, or indicates their acceptance of the quote and intention to pay by bank transfer.

While Bioedit will always try to deliver the work within these deadlines, it cannot be held responsible for any cancellation or delay caused either by the client's actions or Force Majeure - 'Acts of God' (such as: fire, flood, or any other natural disaster, civil disturbance, industrial action or any other situation beyond our control, such as ill health). In such an event, Bioedit will notify the client of the circumstances, which shall entitle both the client and Bioedit to withdraw from the contract for the work. The client shall pay Bioedit for any work completed and Bioedit will do its best to assist the client in placing the work elsewhere or take some other remedial action.

If for any other reason the work is delivered beyond the deadline, Bioedit will refund 10% of the cost for each day the delivery date exceeds the deadline.

If the client cancels the work after it has been commissioned they will be obliged to pay for all the work completed up to that date on a pro-rata basis. If the client cancels less than 24 hours before the time when the translation is due then they will be liable to pay the fee in full.

Revisions Service

Standard and Premium service requests include additional rounds of editing, subject to our Revisions Policy. Please read these details carefully for terms concerning the extent of work that can be checked free of charge.

Confidentiality

Bioedit will treat all work with complete confidentiality. This confidentiality is ensured by the signing of non-disclosure agreements that its staff are bound by.
